Broadband bundles lead to savings November 4, 2008 Web User
Many surfers are still paying over the odds for their broadband connections, despite a significant decrease in the cost of delivering entertainment services, a report has claimed.
According to Moneysupermarket.com, broadband bills have decreased by 13.9 per cent in the past 12 months but many consumers are failing to make savings by not bundling their TV, landline and broadband services.
The price-comparison site found that 70 per cent of Brits had several separate providers. However, bundling all three services from one provider could save as much as £26 per month.
"Dealing with different providers and organising various bills can be a nightmare," said James Parker of Moneysupermarket.com.
Parker advised bundling services as "you'll receive just one bill each month making it far easier to keep an eye on expenses".
"Also if something goes wrong, you only need to ring one provider," he added.
Moneysupermarket.com also advised customers not to be swayed by the offer of free gifts, but instead to consider particulars like usage, data allowances in deciding if a package is good value.
