Google Earth comes to iPhones October 27, 2008 Web User
Owners of Apple's iPhone can now make use of Google Earth on the device.
The satellite-imaging application is also available on the iPod Touch by downloading it from the iTunes App Store.
Making use of the iPhone's accelerometer, you can tilt the device to adjust the view and you can also read Wikipedia articles linked to locations.
"With just a swipe of your finger you can fly from Peoria to Paris to Papua New Guinea, or anywhere in between," said Peter Birch, product manager at Google.
"It may be small, but it brings all the power of Google Earth to the palm of your hand, including all of the same global imagery and 3D terrain," Birch continued.
